What were you doing before starting Franklin Endeavors?
I was a sportswriter for the Oakland Tribune covering the Giants, the Warriors, and the NFL. I left because I didn’t have control of my career or my earning potential.
Why has this been the right career path for you?
Because it’s challenging, and I get to spend my time with amazing people. I have read a lot of great books and success isn’t some mystery. It’s very simple: You just have to work harder than the majority of people, do things well that the majority of people can’t and/or won’t do, and persevere when the majority of people would quit. And the fact that I get to work with a talented group of professionals who share that mentality is a privilege.
